2019 DACOF Brief Timeline

Thursday: Dirt preparation and Ring Setup.

Bill and a few of our Members will meet with the Arena Staff on Thursday morning to prepare the surface to the best of our ability. We will start “Ring Set-up” (laying out the rings & setting up the border fencing) around 4:00pm. If you’re arriving Thursday afternoon and can come help, we would appreciate it!

Friday: Setup and Run-Thru Day (Building opens 8am)

PLEASE NOTE!!! The Concession Stand WILL NOT be open on Friday. Members may bring their own food and drinks if enjoyed discreetly.

Crating: Starting at 8 am, Joanne Killeen and team will layout crate spaces. Please, do not setup until Joanne is done. There will be a temporary crating area in the room between the North Lobby and the ring that you can leave your crate(s)/dog(s) while you help with ring setup!

Rings: Starting at 8 am, John Courtney, Tracy Hanna, Annette Smith and Jen Young will coordinate the ring setup. Please come early and help. The more hands helping, the more quickly we can start run-thrus.

Run-Thrus: After the rings are set, we will begin run-thrus – hopefully around 10 am. This time is dependent upon setting up the rings…so come help! More info on run-thrus has been posted separately. As a note, we can only have rings available for run-thrus that are properly and fully staffed. Fully staffed means three rings running at the same time. If we can’t do that, we will close rings until we have enough workers. More info on signing up to work run-thrus has been posted (Thanks Rhonda & Betsy!). If you haven’t signed up in advance, please come volunteer on site. Run-thrus will end at 4pm!

At 4pm we will clear the rings of equipment so that grooming can occur.

Please help us move the equipment to allow for grooming!

Raffle: Raffle baskets may be dropped off between 2 - 5pm. Please make sure you leave it with a member of the Raffle Team (thank you Shelly Libberton, Lisa Fortschneider, Michael Fortschneider and Shenanigans!) so that your team receives credit for providing a basket. Remember to list the contents of the baskets and provide your Team Name on each basket. LOCATION: Upper floor, Southwest corner near the concession stand.

Packet Pickup: Team Packets/Pins may be picked up (and signed for) between 3 - 5pm on Friday (Thanks Cindy Little and DTCT!). LOCATION: South Lobby

Saturday: DACOF Day 1 (Building opens 6 am)
