DACOF 2026 Closing Message

Hello DACOF Membership!

DACOF 2026 is officially in the history books!

As we wrap up another incredible year, the DACOF Board would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make this event such a tremendous success. Whether you volunteered, built courses, worked rings, staffed the raffle, served on a committee, adopted a judge, helped with scoring, transported equipment, supported our vendors, or simply came with a great attitude and team spirit, you played an important role in making DACOF the special event it has become.

Year after year, we continue to be humbled by the enthusiasm, camaraderie, sportsmanship, and teamwork that define this event. DACOF has never been about obtaining agility titles… it has always been about camaraderie, friendships, club pride, and celebrating the sport we all love through friendly team competition. It truly takes an entire community all working together, and we are incredibly grateful to every volunteer, competitor, club, team captain, sponsor, vendor, judge, committee member, and Board member who helped bring this year's event to life.

A special thank you also goes to our outstanding judges, trial secretary, scoring team, software developers, course builders, equipment providers, and all of our behind-the-scenes volunteers whose countless hours of preparation make a weekend like this possible.

Most importantly...thank you to YOU, our DACOF Members. Your participation, support, and passion are what keep this unique event thriving. Every year you remind us why DACOF continues to be one of the most anticipated and fun agility weekends in Florida.

Now, it's time to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of our competitors and teams!

2026 Randy Reed Memorial Award

Congratulations to PK Lichtenberger, our 2026 Randy Reed Memorial Award recipient!

PK has dedicated countless hours to DACOF over many years and has been instrumental in organizing and coordinating the crating assignments that help keep our event running smoothly. Her commitment, leadership, and willingness to serve have made a lasting impact on DACOF, making her an exceptionally deserving recipient of this year's honor.

2026 Bill Becker "Shine Your Light" Award

Congratulations to Kathy Marble Brown, the recipient of the 2026 Bill Becker "Shine Your Light" Award!

Kathy has been a dedicated member of the DACOF Board since 2015, serving as our Vice President while also coordinating our Vendors each year. For more than 20 years, she has been an active member of DACOF, generously sharing her time, experience, and unwavering commitment to the organization.

Whether she's helping shape Board decisions, working behind the scenes to ensure our vendors have a successful weekend, or quietly stepping in wherever help is needed, Kathy consistently leads with professionalism, kindness, and a genuine passion for the agility community.

Her years of service, steady leadership, and countless contributions have helped make DACOF the organization it is today. Kathy truly embodies the spirit of the "Shine Your Light" Award by making those around her, and DACOF itself, better through her dedication and willingness to serve.

This year marked the exciting debut of our new Unlimited Team Division, created in response to member feedback and designed to allow even more teams to experience the fun and camaraderie of DACOF competition. We hope to have even more participation in the Unlimited Division next year!

Lastly, we would like to welcome Nicole Hornyak to the Board as our new Secretary for 2027.  The other Board members will be returning for 2027.

As always, the DACOF Board welcomes your feedback and suggestions as we continue looking for ways to make this event even better. We are already discussing ideas and enhancements for 2027 and look forward to another fantastic year together.
