🐾 DACOF Fundraising Committee – We Need Your Help!

DACOF Members,

As we look ahead to the future of the Dog Agility Competition of Florida, the Board would like to ask for your help with an important initiative. 🐾

For the third consecutive year, the cost of putting on DACOF has exceeded the entry fees collected, even with the tremendous support we received through the raffle and run-thru revenues. While the deficit in 2026 was smaller than it was in 2025 and 2024, we cannot continue to operate at an annual deficit and expect to maintain the event in its current form.

One option would be to increase entry fees, but the Board would much rather find ways to raise additional revenue outside of entry fees so that we can keep DACOF as affordable as possible for our members. 💰

With that in mind, we would like to establish a DACOF Fundraising Committee made up of members who are willing to brainstorm, develop, and help implement fundraising ideas throughout the year. 💡

🙋‍♀️ How Can You Help?

We are looking for volunteers who might be interested in helping with things such as:

• 💡 Developing new fundraising ideas and opportunities

• 🤝 Identifying potential sponsors and business partners

• 🎉 Creating fundraising events or campaigns

• 💵 Soliciting donations or sponsorships

• 📣 Helping with fundraising communications and promotion

• 🛠️ Working with the Board to turn good ideas into successful fundraising programs

You do not need to have fundraising experience to participate. We are simply looking for people who are willing to contribute ideas, make contacts, lend a hand, or help organize and execute fundraising activities.

Our goal is not to create another large commitment for our volunteers. Instead, we hope to build a group of members with different ideas, skills, and connections who can work together throughout the year to generate additional income for DACOF. 🐕❤️

Even if you can only contribute an occasional idea or help with a specific project, your involvement could make a real difference. 🙌

DACOF has been successful because of the incredible support and dedication of its members and volunteers. ❤️ We want to make sure we can continue providing this event for our agility community for many years to come - and finding ways to strengthen DACOF financially is an important part of making that happen.
