Good Morning, DACOF Members!

As we move ever closer to our DACOF event, we'd like to remind everyone about another fun DACOF tradition:

The Crating Area Team Challenge, or "CATCH"

Not every team can place in the overall competition, but every team can compete for CATCH!

Whether or not your team finishes in the Top 5 on Sunday (or Top 2 for Unlimited Teams), everyone has an opportunity to show their team spirit, creativity, and enthusiasm through DACOF CATCH. We will once again be offering prizes toward the following year's DACOF entry fees for the Winners and Runners-Up in both the Large and Small Sponsor Team divisions.

Judging will take place on Saturday afternoon during the Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony.

The judges will be given only the guidelines listed below. They'll be looking for creativity, originality, team spirit, and overall execution, but will ultimately determine among themselves how they wish to score the entries. If their flight schedules permit, we'll ask them to announce the winners during Sunday's Awards Ceremony. Otherwise, the results will be announced at that time.

Prizes:

Large Sponsor Teams (15–40 Dogs)

🏆 Winner — $100 toward next year's DACOF entry fees

🥈 Runner-Up — $75 toward next year's DACOF entry fees

Small Sponsor Teams (1–14 Dogs)

🏆 Winner — $75 toward next year's DACOF entry fees

🥈 Runner-Up — $50 toward next year's DACOF entry fees

Rules:

1. Stay Within Your Assigned Area

All decorations must remain within your team's designated crating area.

2. No Tape on Walls or Arena Surfaces

Please do not place tape on any walls or arena surfaces.

Even "Blue Painter's Tape" is NOT permitted.

3. Secure Cables and Wires

Any cables or wires crossing walkways must be taped down for safety.

(Tape used for safety on the floor is permitted but must be completely removed during cleanup.)

4. Respect Your Neighbors

If your display includes music or sound effects, please use them only before or after canine competition.

In other words: No sound while dogs are running!

5. No Food Buffets

Food buffets, even when cleverly disguised as decorations, are not permitted!

Please enjoy any outside food discreetly so we can continue to enjoy the privilege of bringing food into the facility.

6. Fire Extinguishers Required for Covered Structures

If your team's decorations include any of the following:

·         Pop-up tent (maximum size 8' × 8')

·         Standard tent

·         Canopy

·         Any type of covering or enclosure

A fire extinguisher must be provided, remain visible, and be present at all times.

Good luck, have fun, and get your creativity on!

We can't wait to see what your teams come up with!

Bill, Kathy, Jen, Ashley & Erica
