Hello DACOF Members!

As we head towards the Memorial Day Weekend, we would like to provide everyone with a few important updates and reminders as we continue counting down to DACOF 2026! 🐶💨

⏰ DACOF ENTRIES ⏰

🚨 The Trial Entry Deadline is TOMORROW — Friday, 5/22/2026! 🚨

All entries and/or elective changes, along with payment and Liability Waiver Forms, MUST be received by TOMORROW.

⚠️ Any requests to make changes AFTER May 22 will require Board Approval.

🛑 PLEASE REMEMBER:NO CHANGES CAN BE MADE ONCE TRIAL MATERIALS ARE PRINTED!

🐕 DACOF CRATING 🐕

PK Lichtenberger, our Crating Committee Chair, along with her teammates from Dog Training Club of St. Petersburg, have requested we share the following crating information:

📦 1) Transfer/Temporary Crating

If Teams need a downstairs spot for TRANSFER/TEMPORARY crating (for handlers running two dogs closely together), please let PK know ASAP and indicate whether it is for a large or small dog crate.

✅ Each TEAM may request ONE crate space.

⚠️ If an Organization has multiple Teams, please do not request one for every Team unless truly necessary.

🎪 2) CATCH Canopy Frames

If an Organization plans to use a canopy frame for CATCH crate decorations, the setup cannot extend more than 8 feet from the wall.

This means either:

✅ Use an 8-foot canopyOR✅ Keep a 10-foot canopy partially closed with the legs extended higher for head clearance

⚠️ Fully opening 10-foot canopies on BOTH sides of crating areas — especially on the North Side of the Arena’s 2nd Floor — creates unsafe congestion and restricts hallway access and emergency egress pathways.

And please remember – if there is any canopy covering the pop-up frame (ANYTHING besides just the frame) a fire extinguisher must always be present and available!!! 🧯🚒🧯

🚐 RV RESERVATIONS 🚐

As of this morning, there are still five (5) people on the waiting list for RV spaces with water and electric hookups.

🏕️ Dry camping spots are STILL available!

🛺 GOLF CART RENTALS 🛺

Diesel’s Custom Carts reports that only a few golf carts remain available for the DACOF weekend!

💲 Discounted DACOF Rate:$180 + taxes/fees for the full 3-day weekend

📅 Delivery/Pickup Schedule:

• Delivered to Silver Spurs Arena by late morning on Friday, 6/26/2026

• Picked up late afternoon on Sunday, 6/28/2026

💸 Julie also indicated that a slight discount may be available if payment is made via Zelle instead of credit card.

⚠️ Please reserve your golf cart EARLY!All available carts have been rented out at previous DACOF Events, and it appears we have even more RV-ing Members attending this year than in recent years.
