Hello DACOF Community,

This is a friendly reminder that the Preferred Jump Height Cut-Off Date was yesterday, February 2, 2026.

To be eligible to run at the Preferred Height for DACOF 2026 (or “Super Preferred” at the Novice or Open levels on an Unlimited Team), all dogs must run only at their preferred height at all events, in all venues, from today forward.

Please keep this in mind when submitting entries for upcoming trials - and when confirming entries already submitted.

In addition, the 2026 “Intent to Participate” deadline of February 23, 2026, is only three (3) weeks away. While that may seem like plenty of time, it will pass quickly! We encourage everyone to begin thinking about how many Classic Teams you may be sending to DACOF 2026 and whether any Unlimited Teams will be included.

Please note that the

“Intent to Participate” is a NEW process this year.

Team Organizers/Captains will indicate their intent to participate rather than submitting a roster.

More announcements will be coming soon with details on how to submit an Intent to Participate to Jen Young.

We hope everyone is getting back into the DACOF spirit and starting to think about team plans for 2026 - including whether your organization or group will be sending any Unlimited Teams this year!

Although we previously indicated that flat ribbons would be the individual awards for Unlimited Teams, we are actively working on the 2026 budget with the goal of providing ROSETTE RIBBONS instead of Flat Ribbons for Unlimited Team individual awards!

Once again, please be sure to review upcoming trial entries to verify that dogs are running at the Preferred Jump Height if it is your intention to run Preferred (or Super Preferred) at DACOF 2026.

And please stay tuned for future announcements!

Best regards,

Bill, Kathy, Jen, Erica & Ashley
